A MESSAGE FROM THE FOUNDER

Dear Fathers and Sons,

The words to the song “Cats in the Cradle” by Harry Chapin have always haunted me (for words to the song click here).  On one hand I am blessed because my dad is and was just the opposite of the father in this song. On the other hand I’m absolutely horrified that this type of relationship can even exist between a father and son. Call me naïve. I don’t want even one father or one son to suffer through a relationship like this.

The words to the first few verses are: “A child arrived just the other day, He came to the world in the usual way. But there were planes to catch, and bills to pay. He learned to walk while I was away. And he was talking 'fore I knew it, and as he grew, He'd say, "I'm gonna be like you, dad. You know I'm gonna be like you." It goes on: “My son turned ten just the other day. He said, "Thanks for the ball, dad, come on let's play. Can you teach me to throw?" I said, "Not today, I got a lot to do." He said, "That's ok." And he walked away, but his smile never dimmed, Said, "I'm gonna be like him, yeah. You know I'm gonna be like him." And the cycle continues…

If you have a relationship like this with your dad or son, you can turn it around – now!

FATHERS & SONS ADVENTURE CLUB is designed to help fathers and sons love each other and bond together to the greatest degree possible!

Recognizing that men truly connect when they are engaged in a shared activity,
I cannot think of a better way to connect than through the FATHERS & SONS ADVENTURE CLUB
Here you will go on adventures with your sons that will create lifetime memories such as fishing, hiking, biking, climbing, surfing (for those near a coast), playing Laser Tag, white water rafting, fossil hunting, wildlife scavenger hunts and camping, etc. These Saturday events are fully organized so that all you have to do is show-up with your son and be prepared to truly enjoy him. On Tuesday’s you will do things together that are either educationally or hobby based. These activities include things such as building model airplanes; taking survival courses; learning about rocks, plants, snakes, wildlife, etc.; participating in Tae Kwon Do, fencing, and other demonstrations, etc. What better way to connect with your sons! And might I add that these activities will rekindle the fire in your belly and allow you to live life more vibrantly. What a wonderful by-product of getting closer to your sons or dad!

Please feel free to contact me directly to discuss any questions you might have about the FATHERS & SONS ADVENTURE CLUB
. It is my hope that you join and thus begin the journey of giving you and your sons all that they deserve!

Join today to guarantee that you will never, ever have the sort of relationship as described in “Cats in the Cradle."

Warmly and God Bless,

Cats in the Cradle
By Harry Chapin

A child arrived just the other day,
He came to the world in the usual way.
But there were planes to catch, and bills to pay.
He learned to walk while I was away.
And he was talking 'fore I knew it, and as he grew,
He'd say, "I'm gonna be like you, dad.
You know I'm gonna be like you."

And the cat's in the cradle and the silver spoon,
Little boy blue and the man in the moon.
"When you coming home, dad?" "I don't know when,
But we'll get together then.
You know we'll have a good time then."

My son turned ten just the other day.
He said, "Thanks for the ball, dad, come on let's play.
Can you teach me to throw?" I said, "Not today,
I got a lot to do." He said, "That's ok."
And he walked away, but his smile never dimmed,
Said, "I'm gonna be like him, yeah.
You know I'm gonna be like him."

And the cat's in the cradle and the silver spoon,
Little boy blue and the man in the moon.
"When you coming home, dad?" "I don't know when,
But we'll get together then.
You know we'll have a good time then."

Well, he came from college just the other day,
So much like a man I just had to say,
"Son, I'm proud of you. Can you sit for a while?"
He shook his head, and he said with a smile,
"What I'd really like, dad, is to borrow the car keys.
See you later. Can I have them please?"

And the cat's in the cradle and the silver spoon,
Little boy blue and the man in the moon.
"When you coming home, son?" "I don't know when,
But we'll get together then, dad.
You know we'll have a good time then."

I've long since retired and my son's moved away.
I called him up just the other day.
I said, "I'd like to see you if you don't mind."
He said, "I'd love to, dad, if I could find the time.
You see, my new job's a hassle, and the kid's got the flu,
But it's sure nice talking to you, dad.
It's been sure nice talking to you."
And as I hung up the phone, it occurred to me,
He'd grown up just like me.
My boy was just like me.

And the cat's in the cradle and the silver spoon,
Little boy blue and the man in the moon.
"When you coming home, son?" "I don't know when,
But we'll get together then, dad.
You know we'll have a good time then."
